Member Schools
Brisbane College of Theology comprises three member schools:
- St Paul's
Theological College (Catholic)
St Paul's Theological College, as a member school of Brisbane College
of Theology, provides theological and ministerial training from within
the Catholic tradition of Christianity. It affords Catholic students the
opportunity to study that tradition, however, with a recognition of the
riches of other Christian traditions. The College is therefore Catholic
yet ecumenical in its approach to the teaching of all courses. It is committed
to contributing to the ecumenical context of studying theology within
BCT.
- St Francis'
Theological College (Anglican)
St Francis' Theological College is the Anglican member school of Brisbane
College of Theology. It assists in the formation of men and women for
ordained and lay ministries of the Anglican Church of Australia, and encourages
tertiary students to discern the nature of their Christian vocation and
enrich their understanding of their faith within the wider world. There
is an emphasis at St Francis' College on what is distinctively Anglican,
but also a commitment to ecumenical study in BCT.
- Trinity
Theological College (Uniting Church)
With particular focus on the reformed/evangelical tradition, Trinity Theological
College, as a member school of Brisbane College of Theology, provides
theological and ministerial training for candidates for the specified
ministries of the Uniting Church, in addition to theological education
for interested lay people. Like the other BCT member schools, Trinity
supports an approach to teaching that is ecumenical.
