Educational Objectives: Successful graduates of the Graduate Certificate in Theology program will have gained a basic knowledge and understanding of key content and issues across a range of fields of theological study. They will also have achieved basic proficiency in many of the skills that underpin theological scholarship and discourse, including the ability to access, organise, analyse, and synthesise theological information, and the ability to write and argue effectively in accordance with the conventions and genres of theological scholarship. In addition, these graduates will have made some progress towards achieving the postgraduate outcomes identified in the rationale for the Graduate Certificate in Theology.
Occupational Objectives: The successful graduate will be equipped and qualified for parish-based teaching and instruction, and will have met some of the basic requirements for non-theology graduates in the ordination/formation programs of the constituent churches.
