Course Regulations - Graduate Certificate in Ministry (GCertMin)

  1. Entry requirement
    Entry requirement is one of the following:
    1. The BCT Bachelor of Theology degree; or
    2. An undergraduate degree from another institution approved by the Academic Committee, and the BCT Graduate Certificate in Theology or its equivalent; or
    3. Demonstrated practical or professional experience relevant to studies in Christian ministry at a level approved by the Academic Committee.
  2. Course of study
    A candidate must obtain 40cp in the manner set out in the Schedule.
  3. Must achieve grade of PP
    To obtain credit for a unit a candidate must achieve a grade of at least PP.
  4. Duration of program
    Unless the Committee of Deans otherwise determines, a candidate must pursue the course for at least one semester, with a maximum period for completion of six semesters.
  5. Credit for other study
    No credit shall be granted for studies undertaken while not enrolled for this course.
  6. Articulation
    On completion of the GCertMin -
    1. 20cp coursework credit and 20cp practicum credit will be granted towards coursework and practicum requirements in the GDipMin, on condition that the GCertMin is surrendered prior to conferral of the Diploma.
    2. 20cp coursework credit and 20cp practicum credit will be granted towards coursework and practicum requirements in the Bachelor of Theology, on condition that the GCertMin is surrendered prior to conferral of the BTh award.
