To audit is to enrol as an audit student in a particular unit. Audit students participate fully through discussions, questions and other in-class learning. However, they do not undertake any of the assessment tasks and do not receive credit to a course. If an audit student decides before the Census Date of the semester in which the class is offered that they would prefer to complete the full assessment for the unit, they should advise their Academic Dean and may change their enrolment to full enrolment, subject to eligibility.
As the audit fee is considerably lower than the normal tuition fee, in cases where the assessment option is taken the balance of the tuition fee must be paid by the Census Date for that semester.
