ASSESSMENT EXTENSIONS
Extension of Time for Submission of Work for Assessment
Students are advised in the first lecture of every unit of all required assessment submission dates. It is expected that students will submit all work on or before the due dates.
In the event of circumstances beyond the reasonable expectation or control of a student which prevent the timely submission of assignments, a student may apply for an extension of time according the following regulations:
- Applications for extensions to a date no later than the end of the current semester’s Assessment Week should be submitted to the Unit Lecturer.
- Applications for extensions to a date beyond the Assessment Week but prior to the commencement of the following semester should be submitted to the Academic Dean.
- Extensions may not ordinarily be granted to a date after the commencement of the next semester. Any request for special consideration for such an extraordinary extension should be submitted to the Dean of Brisbane College of Theology, with the written support of the member school’s Academic Dean.
- This completed form, with the faculty member ’s comments, should be attached to the assignment on submission.
- Any late assignment submitted without an approved extension or beyond the approved extension date may or may not be accepted (at the discretion of the Unit Lecturer), but will be graded on a Pass-Fail basis with a maximum mark of 50%, and the lecturer will not be required to provide written feedback on the assignment.
